Evzdrop is a Chicago based start up that is building a next generation location based information network through mobile apps and a dynamic web platform.  Our solution will add a dimension of real-time insight that is unique and informative.  We are currently in private beta and preparing to launch this fall.

Job Responsibilities
As a mobile developer focused on iOS, you’ll be responsible for building and shaping the core input to our platform. We’re going to consistently be pushing the envelope of location based technologies on various devices to allow users to share location-verified experiences at places around the nation and the world. You’ll be working very closely with the founders, UI/UX designers and our server-side engineers as we build the business and platform. As the business grows, you’ll be helping our growing mobile team use tools  and processes promoting  maintainable code and relentlessly refactoring to manage our technical debt.

Our Mobile Engineer will be used to working in a fast-paced start-up environment with an energetic team; you’ll need to be comfortable moving quickly but with purpose and care. We will be pushing new features very iteratively – sometimes daily – and dedicated to constantly learning and improving the process as we go.   This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first employees to help build and architect our platform.

Skills / Requirements

• 2+ years building elegant, intuitive, native iOS mobile applications on time and within budget
• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Examples of applications deployed to the App Store
• Deep understanding of best practices in iOS/mobile development, including iOS HIG and design patterns
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
• Ability to effectively communicate with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
• Experience in other mobile platforms (Android/Windows Phone 7) is a plus
• Start up experience is a plus
